Neat (free) diary software

I've been looking for something like this for a while, an encrypted diary software to keep track of creative writings, clippings, idea processes etc. I've used an analogue sketchbook/scrapbook since I was around 20 but notice that there are more words than actual sketches in it the last few years. Doing this brainstorming and doodling directly onscreen with the free Advanced Diary from CsoftLab will hopefully increase the productivity in my writing projects.
