Sony Ericsson k700i can't swim (water damage)
I dropped my phone in a swimming-pool this summer. After drying it up for 24 hours it worked! Then after a few weeks it died. Today I got the answer from the service dept.: it's dead for good. Too bad, I had 250+ photos in it and I really enjoyed the camera.
Now here's my new prescioussss. A new gadget can really brighten up an otherwize average day!

My k700i went through a full wash cycle in my shorts pocket.
l dried it out on the radiator for 3 days - no joy
I sprayed WD40 into the phone, left it for 3 days and then tried it.
It worked if the sound was a littlr muffled.
The sound is improving thraough time ?
The 700i is a cracking phone
My dauther dropped her k700 (sony) into the toilet. i took it out and dried it with a hair drier. I took the the battery out and sim card.. it has been one day still does'nt poer up. I am hoping it will in a few days.. This is a killer phone and I replaced the sim card in an older t610 tha is nothing icn comparison to the k700.. wish me luck
Good luck! How´s the phone now? It´s been a year and my then new k750 is now fucked up. I dropped it on the floor and the speaker (the part of the thing that you hold to your ear) is ruined. I can hardly hear through it. The phone is otherwize ok except the lousy joystick that I´ve had fixed twice in a year on service (it stops working or gets really bad sensitivity, especially on steering downwards). Too bad that SE does this, I remember it being bad also on the k700i. Now I´m looking at the new model with the 3mpixel camera but it seems to have the same joystick. Sad to switch from SE, why don´t they change that stick-thing?
i had my phone on my bed and lucozade spilt on it i left it to dry for 1 day and it woked but very slow, it getting better because i changed the battey but the camera doesnt take photos

2 Days back, i was listening to the bollywood music on my K750i device..and i was too fascinated with it that i took it into the toilet with headphones attached..the song was ultimate..but suddenly the device fell into the pot in no time..
Then, i within 2 seconds and some microseconds i put my hand into the pot (yuck).. i saw when it slight was dimming and thn gone..
i went out clend it up wid the hair drier..tuk out the sim and mmry card..
i tried to switch it on,but was unsucesful..lots of memories wer thr in my cell.. i loved it..
Now its wid service centr..trying to start it again..
